If you are selling, the garage is the room that decides whether buyers think the house was taken care of. It is also the last room anyone deals with, because it is the room everything got shoved into while the rest of the house was staged.
Here are two garages we cleared the week of September 13, 2026.
Bear, DE: listing that same week
A homeowner in Brennan Estates was moving, and the house was going on the market that week. The garage still had everything that did not make the moving truck.

This is a normal pre-listing garage. Nothing dramatic, just a full one, and the clock running.

We left the curbside carts, because those belong to the house. Everything else went. An empty garage photographs bigger than a full one, and buyers read it as a house that was looked after.
Middletown: getting the car back in
The same week in Middletown we cleared another garage. Different goal. Nobody was selling. They just wanted to park inside again.

That is the whole after photo: a car, parked where a car goes.
Why sellers book the garage last and regret it
Real estate timelines move fast. A listing gets scheduled, photos get booked, and the garage is suddenly a two-day problem with a one-day gap. It is the most common reason people call us in a hurry.
A few things that help:
- Book before the photographer, not after. Photos are what buyers see first.
- Decide what moves with you first. We work faster when the keep pile is in one place.
- Do it before the truck comes, not after. Movers charge to move things you were never going to keep.
- One visit, not three. Garage, basement and shed usually load on the same trailer the same day.
How long does a garage cleanout take?
Most single-car and two-car garages are a same-day job, and often a same-morning job. What slows it down is not volume. It is what is in the pile: things that have to be handled separately, or a garage so full the crew cannot get past the first few feet.
What it costs
Every job starts at our $199 minimum and goes up with volume and labor. You get a flat number at the free on-site estimate, before anything is loaded. No hourly meter, no surprise at the end.
Anything hazardous is the exception we cannot load: paint, solvents, motor oil, propane tanks. Those go to household hazardous waste.
Selling a house in New Castle County?
We work with homeowners, agents and property managers across Bear, Middletown, Newark, Wilmington and the rest of New Castle County. If the whole house needs clearing, not just the garage, look at estate cleanouts, moving services and tenant turnover services.
